FAQ
Short answers from how Stackpick actually works. More of the same is on About.
What is Stackpick?
Stackpick is a shortlist for one task. You describe the job in plain language and get one main pick plus up to two alternatives. Each price comes from the catalogue, with the vendor’s pricing page and the date it was checked. Ranking does not call a model.
Who is Stackpick for?
It is for non-technical founders and teams who want a short list of tools for one job, with prices they can check.
How does Stackpick choose a pick?
The task sentence chooses the required capability. The ranker keeps tools that fit that job. Optional focus only reorders that set. Focus does not add tools the task does not need.
Where do the prices come from?
Prices are list prices from the vendor pages stored in the catalogue, with a checked-on date. Stackpick does not fetch live vendor prices. A missing price is shown as “Price not verified”, never as zero and never as a guess. A verified free plan stays zero. A check more than 7 days old, in Europe/Paris, is marked stale.
What do the monthly estimates mean?
Monthly model figures are estimates and are labelled as estimates. Light is 1 million input tokens and 0.2 million output tokens. Typical is 5 million in and 1 million out. Heavy is 25 million in and 5 million out. No-code, seat, and plan prices stay as published plan prices.
What does Free include, and what does Pro cost?
Free is EUR 0, with 5 shortlists a day. No account is required. A signed-out browser is counted as free. Pro is EUR 9 a month, excl. VAT, with 100 shortlists a day, saved briefs, and an in-app list when a saved tool’s catalogue price or checked-on date changes. Secure checkout by Stripe. Opening the return page does not change the plan.
Do sponsor slots change the ranking?
No. A sponsored slot is labelled Sponsored and stays outside the ranking. Sponsor slots are live, from EUR 100/week, with at most 3 per week. The price rises EUR 100 after every sale. Prices exclude VAT. A completed payment stays pending and does not publish a slot. The enquiry form does not send email.
Are there affiliate links?
There are no affiliate links. On a sponsored placement the page says: “Sponsored placement. Stackpick may earn a referral fee. Recommendations above are independent.”
Does Stackpick send email?
No email is sent. Price changes for saved Pro briefs stay on the account. The sponsor enquiry form does not send email.
